Thomas Jane Must Save His Daughter In Dig Trailer [EXCLUSIVE]

Screen Rant is proud to exclusively present a first look at the trailer for the upcoming film Dig, in theaters, digital & On Demand September 23. Distributed in North America by Saban Films and Lionsgate, the new hostage thriller was penned by Banipal Ablakhad and Benhur Ablakhad as their feature film debut. It holds the distinct honor of not only featuring prolific star Thomas Jane (beloved for The Expanse, The Predator, The Mist and more), but also his daughter Harlow Jane.

Directed by K. Asher Levin, Dig centers on a widowed father (played by Thomas Jane) who works in construction and brings his daughter (naturally played by Harlow Jane) to a home demolition. But when they arrive at the designated spot, they are instead tied up and taken hostage by a villainous couple portrayed by Emile Hirsch (Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans) and Liana Liberato (Light as a Feather).

Screen Rant's exclusive first look at the Dig trailer was provided by Saban Films in conjunction with their studio partner, Lionsgate. The story starts with a job that apparently needs some quick turnaround, which Thomas Jane's hero must take in order to afford a procedure to help his daughter's hearing. The heartwarming father-daughter moment is cut terribly short when the kidnappers of the piece show up, however, and the true action thriller nature of the film is revealed. Check out the trailer for Dig below:

Dig promises to be heart-stopping and action-packed, and is sure to showcase some great fight sequences from the veteran actor as well as some impressive breakout moments for Harlow Jane. Before now, the younger Jane has appeared in an episode of High Desert and in the miniseries Texas Rising, creating anticipation for what her first lead role in a film will look like.

Saban Films has made its mark on the year 2022 with several thrillers, mysteries and cerebral horror films out in theaters and through home release. January kicked off with The Legend of La Llorona while April saw the spy drama Agent Game, starring Mel Gibson. There Are No Saints and Deep in The Forest released in May, while the psychological thriller Chariot and sci-fi horror film Cryo came out in June. Now it looks like Dig will continue the trend well into Fall, with its battle-ready father-daughter duo fighting back against evil.
