The free Assassin's Creed Valhalla game mode The Forgotten Saga is available now, letting players repeatedly fight through the Norse realm of Niflheim. The latest entry in Ubisoft's open-world series takes players to the Viking Era and casts them as a Viking warrior named Eivor. The game's version of 800s Scandinavia and England has gradually been expanded by Ubisoft through post-launch content. The Assassin's Creed Valhalla update The Forgotten Saga launched on August 2, adding an even greater depth of gameplay to the experience.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla follows Eivor as they journey to expand their clan into England. Along the way, the Viking epic intersects with the franchise's ongoing story, which involves a war between the Assassin's Brotherhood and Templar Order. The Norse gods are also involved in the narrative, with Eivor eventually revealed to be a reincarnation of Odin the Allfather. Ubisoft has continued to expand Assassin's Creed Valhalla through DLC, which has added more storylines to experience and new locations to explore. Wrath of the Druids takes Eivor to Ireland to battle a mysterious cult, while The Siege of Paris brings players to 800s France. Dawn of Ragnarok, meanwhile, follows Odin's perspective as he fights to prevent the end of the world.SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The new Assassin's Creed Valhalla game mode The Forgotten Saga will once again follow the Norse god Odin on a quest into a new realm. The free mode will see Odin journey into the Norse realm of Niflheim in order to face the goddess of death Hela and her undead armies. While Assassin's Creed Valhalla is typically structured as an action RPG, The Forgotten Saga will instead adopt roguelike elements similar to titles like Hades or Slay the Spire. Players will repeatedly venture into the unforgiving realm of Niflheim, but Odin retains skills and weapons even if he dies in combat. This will allow players to gradually grow stronger and eventually face off with Hela herself.
The Forgotten Saga Will Be Free To All AC Valhalla Owners
Despite being such a large piece of new content, the Forgotten Saga game mode for Assassin's Creed Valhalla will actually be completely free. Players are now able to journey into Niflheim free of charge, though there are some requirements that players must reach before they can delve into the roguelike realm. In order to begin the content of Assassin's Creed Valhalla players must have already played as Odin and visited the realm of Valhalla. Doing so will add a new craftsman named Everold to Ravensthorpe, and speaking to him and accepting a potion will kickstart The Forgotten Saga. Due to the mode's roguelike nature, there are no level requirements for entering Niflheim.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is already bursting with Norse adventures to experience, and now The Forgotten Saga has added more free content to the list. The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Forgotten Saga DLC is available now, and players who have already visited the Nine Realms should be able to access the content immediately. The roguelike epic promises to be very distinct compared to the typical Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay that fans have grown used to since launch.
